Vogel 50x50
The Fifty Works for Fifty States project distributed 250 works from the Dorothy and Herbert Vogel Collection, housed at the National Gallery of Art, to art institutions in every state. Preserving this unique collection of contemporary minimalist and post-expressionist art, the Vogel 50x50 website brings together these works in a browseable and searchable digital collection.

Working together with the National Gallery of Art and members of the IMLS, we defined a data structure that would facilitate academic research as well as the content development needs of the 50 participating museums, in a beautiful interface that allowed the artworks to shine. In addition to working with the designer and developers on the site design and production, I edited the Vogel Story from longer essays and interviews with the Vogels, and oversaw cross-browser and content quality assurance.
