leading teams of developers and designers to create compelling interactive experiences and environmental installations, i oversee concept development, content strategy and management, information architecture, usability testing, and quality assurance. the challenge of aligning the big picture—the goals of an organization and a project—with the details of technology, writing, editing, and aesthetics is my passion. my motto: make it better!
history
since 1999, i’ve been working at the intersection of interactive technology and intelligent content. i cut my teeth hand-coding SGML for digital literary archives and have been fortunate to go on to work with amazingly talented writers, videographers, designers, developers, and engineers on complex yet usable interactive experiences. after a few years honing my skills at Second Story Interactive Studios, i struck out on my own, founding Upswell in order to work with non-profit and cultural organizations on digital media projects for the common good.
